Hi, I've recently had the engine management light come on and the car goes into limp mode until I restart it. Throttle feels jerky.
I plugged it into a code reader and got the following reading
"P2138
Throttle position (TP) or accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor/switch
D/E - voltage correlation
Accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor 1/2 (throttle position sensor D/E) incorrect voltage correlation "

I have a 6 speed accord 2006 post facelift 2.2 diesel. I believe it's part no. 37971-rbb-003 ?
Does this sound correct?

I really appreciate any help or guidance.
I've had a look online/through the forum and I'm just unsure particularly if the fact mines a 6 speed/post facelift determines a different part needed.

Thanks

Looks to be the correct part number for the APP sensor according to this site which is usually accurate - see diagram https://shorturl.at/T0Of3

There was another post recently actually of someone else replacing with a cheap one from ebay that seems to have done the trick - the contacts inside were worn out:

Tried the electrical spray while waiting for my cheap eBay sensor and the spray made a noticeable difference but still jerky and eml appearing.

So the sensor got fitted and got rid of the jerkyness (at low speed it was most noticeable) and initially the eml light was gone.

The eml light now comes on if I accelerate anything that resembles quickly. Once this happens it loses power and idles above 1,000 rpm (if I remember correctly) until I pull over, turn off the car and wait 30 seconds.

I'm now considering what my next options are.

On another thread I replaced the TPS when it was clear the tracks inside were causing all sorts of trouble after spraying with good electrical solution multiple times

The replacement looks identical but has twice caused a loss of power (limp mode) though it was only under 'pedal to the floor' moments, (which I rarely do as the clutch is almost finished)

I will try spraying the new one with same fluids over the next couple of days but I am unlikely to report an improvement.

Hopefully that worked for you.
I'm still having the same issue; so currently considering a new genuine honda the 37971-rbb-003b whole sensor asembly and maybe throttle cable.

I've not had another incident, though I have a slipping clutch and my driving adjustments mean I rarely have to 'floor it'.
