are rear callipers the same?

All Facelifted 6th gens are the same mate. from 2001 onwards the calipers from 1.8, 2.0 and 2.3 are all the same mate.

Pre facelift dont fit as I had this issue myself last month when i got a caliper from a 1999 1.8 and it didnt fit my 2001 1.8 sport

Where you buying it from? Lings website would confirm the parts to each car. You might need to sign up and search your own car, the link is for a 1.8 (f18b2/cg8)

When I replaced my rears a few years ago, it was cheaper buying brand new from Holdcroft Honda than EuroCarParts or Blueprint(?) is it?

i done the lings search for him and all facelift accords have the same Honda Part number.
2001 Accord 1.8 Sport O/S Rear: 43012-SEA-E01
2002 Accord 2.0 Excutive O/S Rear: 43012-SEA-E01
2001 Accord 2.3 Type V O/S Rear: 43012-SEA-E01

well being an X reg it will a a year 2000 pre faclift model.
I see you said 2001 x but X is 2000. so u will have the 4 slat grill.

for example:
T reg = Early 1999
V reg = Late 1999
W reg = early 2000
X reg = late 2000
Y reg = early 2001
51 reg = Late 2001 and soo on.

So being on an X plate im not sure about your calipers as I only know Accords from 2001 apart from the type R

The facelift started from Y reg to my knowledge, yours could of been a very late registered pre facelift, post a pic of your car front end and we can confirm.

i am 99.9% positive i have a facelift

2 slats on the grill and the aerial is on the roof rather than the rear 1/4

Yeh that is a facelift version, so follow Tony's instructions.

Looks like yours is a very early registered 2001 facelift before the Y reg came out in March with the new VED rules, your car was registered on the 30th of January 2001, so makes sense now.
