Hi,

I think my Brake Pads will need changing soon, so inputting my reg on eurocarparts come up with these, so I'm wondering are these the right pads for the 6th gen? Also not sure if these come in pair of twos or all four, if not are the front pads different to rear pads and finally whats the difference between brake system girling and lucas? I thought these were company names..

Cheers lads

Check the EBC Ultimax, they are pretty good and have a great price:

Brake pads are sold per axle so you'll get all the pads you need for either both front brakes or both rears (ie 4 pads in each box).

Front and rear pads are usually different as the fronts tend to be bigger than the rears. This is becuase the fronts do more of the work when braking.

Girling and Lucas would be the manufacturer of the brake calipers. Its not uncommon to have different makes for the front and rear brakes. An easy way to tell would be to take off a wheel and look at the caliper. There is usually the makers name stamped into the top.

I can't advise if these pads are correct for your car but what I've done when I was unsure was to take the old pads out, see what they actually lool like and measure all the dimensions. Failing that, I'm sure someone will be along in a bit to confirm!

Cheers for the replies. will check out those EBC, but can anyone confirm if the Pagid ones are suitable? and any other alternatives.?
