Hey guys

On my list of upgrades for my 2.4 type S, I've been looking at fitting BC Racing coilovers (BR spec), along with my 19" rims with 235/35/R19 tyres, are these coilovers a direct replacement to the stock struts or do I need to get additional bits and pieces to fit them i.e. camber control arms?, and also are these straight forward to fit or would I need to take the car to a specialist garage for this to be done?

thanks,

Zahir

Straight fit but if you decide you want to go lower than 35mm at the rear then adjustable camber arms are advisable. These cars have a known issue with too much rear negative camber anyway.

And that tyre size is wrong if you want to maintain the correct rolling radius - it's 225/35/19 or 235/30/19

Ive had my BC's on for about 2 years now and i've covered 20k. Cant fault them in the slightest B) Depending on how low you go you'll most likely need camber arms. Why not just get them anyway and once its setup and settled you can get a spot on alignment done properly.

had my bc ones for over a year now,and they are brilliant, ride quality is cool too,and i think im currently the only one with them on a diesel :p

I'm not looking to go lower than 35mm but the sound of better controlling the alignment appeals. Wheres the best place to get these BC coilovers and camber control arms from? and how much should i expect to pay for them, and what the fitting cost would be.

I got mine from a place called funkypower(and I'm sure that blue got his from there as well) they were the cheapest also their customer service was brilliant, arrived in a couple of weeks.

I ordered all my suspension from funkypower.com too. My BC Racing coilovers, my skunk2 front camber kit, my j's racing roll centre adjusters and my ingalls rear camber kit (thats the one you want for the rear camber adjustment)

Thanks guys, can anybody let me know which ones will be suitable for my 2006 model, as the BC racing BR coilovers come is three alternative set ups which I don't understand, these are RS = Rubber Top Mounts Front and Rear (pillowball in only select applications with camber), RA = Pillow ball front top mounts with rubber rear (only in select applications with camber), RH = Pillow ball top mounts front and rear with camber where applicable.

RH as they're the ones with the aluminium top mounts front and back
