Hi,

I've been looking around the forum and I've seen a lot of Accord's with custom headlights looking pretty nice and seeing as my own headlights need replacing I was wondering what HID's do you reccomend. I'm looking for a 55 watt 8000k setup as Britain is both foggy and dark around this time of year and in my spare time I like to go down to the beach and guide incoming vessels away from rocks. Just for reference I'm operating a 2.2l Diesel CDTI 2008 Honda Accord Tourer.

The reason for my confusion is due to the sheer amount of kits available I'm spoilt for choice and I'd like to get some recommendations from people who've got HID kits. I'd also know where the best place to get them from is or if there's an ebay outlet or Amazon site or That you guys recommend?

Regards,

Not sure as to your query, but I'm sure someone will be along to help you out in no time. But welcome to the forum buddy. :)

Hello Saf

welcome to the site pal. Maybe you need the bulb off a lite house

I would use "lite" house bulbs but they tend to fly away.

On a more serious note does anyone actually know of any good hid ballast kits as some people have had problems with ebay ones.

Regards

dont know if in uk is the same but check if 8000k are road legal.

Tbh reto fit kits in the 7th gen Accord is not technically legal either. The regulations state that you need Projector lamps, headlamp washers and self levling lapmps.

8000k will be very blue indeed. I think 6000k is too blue. 4300k is the closest to OEM look imo

6000k in my car look white, no problems with NCT, but they can cause a lot of interference on the radio.
I like to listen to BBC R2 on 88.7 and where I am in Ireland reception isn't the best at 40-50 miles from transmitter in Newry.
Switch on the lights and no more BBC2. The same thing in my other car (non standard HIDs too)
So if you like FM radio HIDs retro-fitted is a pain.
I even earthed the ballasts but made no difference.
