Best replacement clutch for Honda Accord (2007) 2.2l Diesel Tourer ?

The news is:
- That I spoke to CG Motorsports and they are adamant that the sound should not change in any way due to the new clutch & DMF.
They suggest that something must have been incorrectly fitted - possibly the Booze Pipe (I never knew my car had such a useful sounding device... ;^) ) or some tray or some other air pipe...

- Then I spoke to my local mechanics again and they are adamant that everthing that came off the car went back on again correctly... but will have another look this afternoon.

Fwiw the clutch is behaving EXACTLY as expected. It it biting quite early and quite agressively and in 1st and reverse it can judder slightly... basically if feels like the slightly unsophisticated racing clutch that it is (!) and I can live with it no problem. CGM say it may (or may not) bed in over time to have less judder but either way it's fine by me. And on the up-side there are no weird PSA error messages yet.

John so you had this fitted by someone other than CG?

Yeah - I was toying with using CG on my way North to Scotland for my holiday break, but in the end they couldnt fit me in.

Okay so the local garage boys who fitted my clutch have "found a gromet that had come loose" and the sound is now much better. (Although whether it's back to as good as before I'm still not 100% sure!).
The clutch itself is strange... sometimes it judders quite a lot sometimes it doesnt. There must be something going on with the exact revs and speed of engagement... (More later!)

The picture shows the same filter as used on the pre-facelift vehicles (and the same as I paid around twice as much for at a Honda dealer!).

Is your car pre-facelift?

I ordered this one from the same company thinking it was a great price but they sent me a different brand and i had to pay to send it back, so if you do go to get it email them 1st to make sure they have the bosh ones in.

My clutch has slipped in the past intermittently. It's not been bad at all though for a while and I've hardly noticed any slip. That was until last night when I had to give her some stick and it was slipping really bad. It was laughable at times in 4th or 5th, foot down 3/4 or flat hearing the revs spinning up and going nowhere. The cars on 137k and I think its the original clutch as I have no paper work to show its been changed before. I was thinking of selling the car soon too  no hope of that now without changing the clutch.
Looking at the site mentioned earlier "car parts 4 less" the clutch prices arent too bad - it was the DMF that shocked me -

Does anyone know if theres really much difference between the different brands of clutch - Transmech/LUK/OEM?

I'm contemplating Stage 2. Is the below still the best option for taking the extra torque?

For ultimate peace of mind, get a CG motorsport paddle clutch. £925 fitted including a new DMF too.

I'm not fully up to speed with all of their products, and they're constantly evolving their portfolio. I would suggest giving them a call and discussing your options.
