I am looking to get a garage to replace the cam belt (lack of skill, time and space)
What sort of price am I looking at ?
Also is there anything else that either needs to be done or is easier to do at the same time ???

Timing belt & balancer belt.

I'd say a rough ballpark figure of £200-£300 depending on parts (oem?) and labour.

Many thanks

I had mine done on 7th October 2013 cost me £265.44 (£123.75 labour and £97.62 Tensioner kit plus vat £44.27) by independent garage( not OEM parts) Ive used for years. Had to take it back next day oil p---ing out of rocker cover due to missing bolt. The week before they serviced the car( £235.00)and had to take it back following day temp gauge not working and top hose support bracket adrift. Needless to say I was not impressed. Now am retired will do as much as I can myself fed -up with shoddy workmanship and high charges.

Decent timing belt vid from briansmobile1, Eric The Car Guy has a download one for sale for about $14 - you might find thats a worthwhile buy for someone going to attempt it themselves.

....and superb guide.

Hi, cost me 225 including labour for the cambelt change on my 99 honda accord at the honda dealership. Had no problems with them and also they provide warranty. I think best to ask a quote from your local dealer.

So judging by that video the engine doesn't have to come out for the change? That's pretty cool for DIYing.

I would also rather get it done at Honda since the costs don't seem to be massive between them and a railway arch garage.

If it's any help I got quoted these prices fe w months ago for the timing belt kit from Holdcroft.

Timing belt: £36.79
Balancer belt: £36.79

Would always buy genuine myself.

I got the both belts and tensioners from HH earlier this year and got a local garage to do the work. Was around £300 as far as I can remember.
