Check System warning light with an unusual icon

I have been advised that "premium"grade fuel will help prevent the problem, i.e. ultimate BP. OR THE SHELL ONE, every3rd fill up Also make sure you use low saps oil when changing. Last but not least give it some "wellie"
 
Good quality cleaner diesels should have less ash particulates I guess and yes a good quality low saps oil will help break it down.. But the best way to prevent the issues is very regular long distance runs

Like running up to Halifax now and again?? LOL
 
Just been rereading this thread and with the oncoming winter I wonder if "like in the olden days" we blank the front grill or half the rad we will run a bit hotter? My one never gets above halfway on the gauge.
 
It's not supposed to get above half way lol
