Cigarette lighter Socket - Front removing

My cigarette lighter Socket by the ashtray in front of the gear stick has broken

Some bit of plastic has popped out the centre.

Can I remove the socket from the ashtray itself or is glued in as one complete unit ?

I can only see one for sale and its complete ashtray with lid and wrong trim on lid (it's walnut I have metal finish) so I'd either need to remove the socket from it or swap the lid.

Can this be done ?

Alternatively I've seen a bare new pattern socket that's advertised as fitting civic and accord but looks like a made in china copy. Is this going to be a straight swap.or will I have to change wiring or connectors?

How do I get the socket/ashtray out ?

Not got personal experience as I have a Mk8 but here is a video for removal that should help:

On my Mk8 the lid trim piece just clips onto the top of the lid mechanism, so I imagine the Mk7 would be the same, once removed you should be able to easily do that.
