I'm sure this has been brough up before, but I can't find it specific to the 7th Gen.

I've got an 2003, and I'm wondering length of time the corrosion warranty is, and if anyone has had any luck getting them to replace the rear quarter panels due to rust?

I'm sure it's 7 years I will check later.
The warrenty will not cover stone chips and as most rust starts from this there's not a lot covered IMO

I think it's 7 years. My mate has a 53 plate Exec Tourer. He lives right on the sea front and has started to rust on his roof  . Puts it down to the salt in the air :( . I think he's enquired about it and he's out of warranty as it's a 7 year warranty. To be honest, I'd have expected Honda to have a ten year warranty on rust. Tut tut Honda.

Thanks Brett and Steve.

If you find out that it's something other than 7 years, let me know.

Aside from that, have there been any forum members who have dealt with this issue? Complete respray job, or patch up job, or something else?

i believe Honda have a 12 year warranty if its rusting from the inside out. so no stone chips or scratches etc. they test it with a thing that measures the paint thickness to see if its ever been resprayed or had work done before. also if its around the windscreen and its had a new screen they wont touch it.

Just found this guys for a new Honda Accord the warranty is as below.

Manufacturer Chassis Corrosion Warranty - Years 10 years
Manufacturer Exhaust System Warranty - Years 5 years
Manufacturer Structural Corrosion Warranty - Years 12 years
Manufacturer Surface Corrosion Warranty - Years 3 years
Standard Manufacturer Warranty - Mileage 90000
Standard Manufacturer Warranty - Years 3 years

Here come the contradictions, lol

So what is it?

If you''re reading something for an 8th Gen, then I doubt it applies.

Ok for the 7th gen

Standard corrosion guarantee 6 years

Standard paintwork guarantee 3years

You're a gent, Brett!

Not what I was wanting to hear, but at least it's an answer.
