hi guys a mate of mine has a 54 plate 2.2 accord it used to go into limp mode now wont start. havent got any of the codes but the aa man reckoned it was the crankshaft postion sensor. weve both been looking for a while now with no luck some people say its by the gearbox (thats where he thinks it is) im thinking its hence the name by the crank shaft going to take the crank off tomorrow see if its behind there but anyone got any definite information? cheers

No. 18, but there could be any number of reasons as to why the car went into limp mode, just using a non oem fuel filter can cause it. Did the AA man plug in to the car?

Pointless trying to diagnose without diagnostics.

Could be anything from bad fuel filter, injector or even a jammed EGR valve

im sure there was a reason he said it was the CPS think it was plugged in to a machine but the codes weren't recorded and apparently its a fuelling issue. seeing as weve brought the sensor its worth trying it but cheers guys

Save yourself a lot of aggro pump the priming bulb until it is hard then try, if still no go then fit a new "proper" fuel filter, Bosch if still no go then get it to Honda shop.
