Hi Guys,

I've searched using the Google Search on here, but I'm finding nothing. I'm under the impression from comments in a number of threads that there's a thread specifically about the correct settings for your clutch's cruise control switch. I wanna check mine but can't find any concrete info on how to do it (preferably with photos) which I was under the impression there was on this forum from comments made in other threads.

Any suggestions? Was this thread once in existence and been deleted? If so, can anyone help with what exactly I should be checking for and/or adjusting.

Thanks.

Ok, just slide your seat all the way back, rest your head near the clutch pedal, turn you head

, and look up to the "arm" of the clutch pedal. Follow it and you will find the switch.

Now, I checked my settings not on the switch itself, but in the steel rod that goes in when you press the pedal (right through the floor). I checked if a kind of guide in the steel rod is leveled with the opening it goes through, while the pedal is at rest
Don't know if it's the right way, but it seemed logical. If the so called guide is leveled, seems good to me. If the guide sits inside the opening, and it's not leveled with the opening, it might be out of standard settings.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Steven my advice is take your car to a Honda dealer its a 5min job and you no it will be set correct.

It's in at the end of the month for a service and some roll bar work so I'll ask them to have look and just check it. You see, I'm not 100% convinced the car is that well, but can't for the life of me put my finger on just what it is. There's like a dull spot around the 2000 revs region. The clutch is only 18 months old and I'm pretty certain it's fine. If I get the revs high and drop it into gear it bites nicely, before the pedal is fully lifted. I can very easily stall it, as I've proved to myself recently on more than one occasion while reverse parking too  . But since I hit the curb to avoid a collision and suffered a blow out, I've been paranoid that I've done some damage.

The only other things crossing my mind are that the roll bar linkages and bushings (front and back) are in need of replacing. Could this cause some kind of lag in how the power puts down?

And (as I was low on fund when I suffered my blow out just before xmas) I couldn't get both front tyres replaced, just the blown one. So I have odd tyres on the right, which I'm attributing to it feeling lighter/heavier when turning one way or the other. It's only slight and at low speed that I notice it. The tyres are a similar price point, but different brands, the near side is new, the off side is about a year old  .

So in all, I don't understand enough about the car to fathom what's causing this lull between 2-3K, but I wanna check over as much as possible and rule out any potential issues before I take it in really.

Most certainly nothing to do with cruise control switch. And probably not clutch related too.
Start with the simple things, like oil servicing, oil filter, check air filter or even fuel filter. Spark plugs? Maybe injectors? A few tests at Honda dealer could help.
Good luck.

Cheers man. I'll just get them to have a good look over everything, filters (air and oil), fluid replacements etc. Thanks man.

:)
