Hey, just wanted to share my satisfaction of the remap done by F6HAD two weeks ago.
Had a constant DPF problem so was doing it out of neccessity instead of joy because the car was unreliable. Used to do DPF regens every 300-700 miles and exhausted all potential options with the engine using both autel and snap on diagnostics. Diesel is just not meant to do 15 min drives twice a day during peak traffic hours. Worst part the ECU would never notify me when regen is due before fully going into limp mode while driving gently.
So after long consideration and weighing the unknowns about remaps I finally decided to make a trip to Leeds.
F6HAD is really what people say he is, just an awesome guy and pleasure to talk to. He's done full diagnostics and the remap. Thanks again man!
Been driving the car for two weeks and the difference is really there, especially on higher RPM. 3rd and 4th gear no longers loses power from 2800 or so RPM and really have a nice speed curve when needed.
On the way back from Leeds I had 8 more MPG (62 up from 54). While normally driving during busy hours had about 34-37 MPG, now it's closer to 48-50. Just changed my oil today and done 5 miles to shop and back on some higher RPM and driving like maniac, before that would have shown about 27mpg, now it's at 40, so the difference is really huge.
Other than that noticed my car used to run at 2k rpm @ 30mph on 3rd gear or very similar doing 40mph on 4th, now it's 1800rpm, so I guess it's a little bit easier on the engine to spin.
But the biggest worry is gone, no more dreaded limp mode and I no longer worry about going somewhere further away from home. Car seems happy, I definitely am, here's a little advertisment your way Premier Tuning. Thanks a lot!
