Hi,

I am wanting to lower my 2005 Accord Diesel and was wondering which were the best springs to go for?

Seen a set of Eibach springs on eBay for £175 but heard they give the camber issue?

Pictures would be nice of what springs you guys recommend and how much they will set me back.

Thanks!

Me on A-Spec. fixed height, slightly higher nose, but OEM and good handling.

Not too sure about the higher nose nevertheless what is the drop over standard springs? Have heard of these springs before and did try to look for them on eBay but had no luck in finding them or getting an idea on how much they will set me back.

Doubt you'll get them off eBay - and they weren't cheap.

Drop is about 35mm IIRC the higher nose we decided was to ***ist weight transfer under braking. I have learned to live with it.

You won't get much change from £450 - maybe a bit more.

If you're going to go for springs only then Eibach's are the way to go. If you want to do it properly, go for the A spec suspension. If you want total flexibility, you need Tein's or BC coillies.

Thanks for your responses chaps, had another question are the Accord Type S springs same as the CTDI i.e. will the CTDI eibach springs fit the Accord Type S?

Also what is the camber issue about?

mine bc racing collies, fully adjustable, lowered 60mm front and back...

I want them too  could give some feedback about those BC's. what type you have RS or RA do you know what difference is between them? have you got them with pillowball? and did you had any issues to set a camber? sorry for so many questions

BC dont do coilovers for the tourer as its has a different set up at the rear ie seperate damper and spring. If you want coil overs you can get kw or h&r but your looking £1k +

1k is too much for me :( what about Tein SS ? price is similar? or what you think about Eibach pro kit + Bilstein B6 ? not coilovers but under 1k

Sadly Tein dont do coilies for the tourer either, Ive got the pro kit with aspec dampers. I just felt the front ride height was too high for me so decided to use my eibach springs with the dampers for what for me is a better performance and look.

Ask these guys, they may do a kit for the tourer, its had good reviews elsewhere and resonably priced.

Sorry bud just realised you got the tourer, and as andy said they unfortunetly dont do it for the touer, although when ordering collies you could ask them if they would custom make you a pair for the tourer...?

It doesn't sound good because for price of seperate dampers and springs you can get nice coilies. I would buy springs and dampers but I prefer have that luxury of being able to adjust height because you never know how springs will settle down.

does anyone heard about B12 kit which include bilstein b8 dampers + eibach pro kit springs. it looks like these will fit tourer and price is over 300 pounds cheaper than H&R coil overs which have only adjustable height.

I had yellow billies on my mr2, they were very good.

For me ride quality is a concern so excludes everything except maybe Tein cs.

I think I'll go for bilstein even that they can't be adjusted like Koni but most peoples reccomend them.

Hi. few days ago I've sent question to BC about coil overs for tourer and today got reply :D

Good news!

We are developing a kit for the Accord CM2, which we think is the car you have. The kit is being developed in Japan and although I cannot give you an exact date that it will be ready I Think if you check back with us in Jan/Feb we may have the kit ready for sale by then.

Thanks

Kev Duckworth

but I don't know if I would resist till this time without getting other kit

Yep CM2 would work for the CN2 I think :)

Hi guys, from a long time I'm looking for options to lower my car, but because it's tourer it's difficult to find something for me. At the beginning I've been thinking about coilovers from tein or bc racing because price is similar to A-spec and you can adjust height ,but none of them don't do kits for tourer, so I decided go for springs only so I choosed Eibach, but guess what, Eibach stopped doing kits for tourers around 6 month ago, so I thought that maybe someone can have it laying on shelf under huge cover of dust, but I was wrong :( No one in UK,Germany and Poland don't have this kit for sale :( as an alternative I've been offered KW or H&R, or Cobra  . So after reading some reviews about H&R it seems that ride on them is not so comfortable, they are harder then Eibach's and with baby on board it's not good idea, Cobra never heard of them and not so many reviews same as KW. Is anyone who can recommend some springs or maybe you know some shop where Eibach's are laying on shelf  thanks

I was pretty sure I stumbled across the tourer Eibach springs when I was going to order mine... Just spent 10 mins searching it for you here is the link http://www.dcperformance.co.uk/cheap/426607/honda/eibach-pro-kit-springs/e10-40-008-04-22.html

The part number on the tourer springs is E10-40-008-04-22.

I ordered my Eibach springs from Larkspeed for my Saloon they had them in stock so should be here with me tomorrow £160 all in so you may want to give them a call and get yours ordered from there too!

no mate, I thought same ,everyone have them on website but no one keep them in stock they are ordering them from eibach which is not doing them any more. I've tried demon tweeks, europerformance, dcperformance, larkspeed, motorsportworld, ruderacing and many more and none of them have it :(

Forget Eibach's guys, go for these a bargain

Thanks Fahad but I want a bit lower ;) around 30-35 drop, and from what Andy said he went back to Eibach just because the drop was to small.

Finally after few days of reading hundreds of posts on different forums I decided to choose lowering springs for my tourer :D I went for KW's which will give me 30 mm drop.I consider HR's but these are too hard for my family car and I wanted to keep some comfort, also I've been thinking about Weitec but their company was bought by KW so these springs are actually made by same manufacturer the only difference it seems to be quality of materials from which springs are made from, but difference in price is few quids thats why I went for KW's. Springs need to come from Germany so I don't think so to get them in this year, but in next year when I'll put them on the car I'll try to write up few words how the car feels on it. Hopefully I won't regret my decision
