Hi everyone

Does anyone knows why my accord 7 2.4 from 2007 have very dirty oil even after 8 months after oil change and engeine is much louder than after oil change??
i hava car for 7 years and changing oil regulary doing like 2000miles a year. oil is shel helix ultra profesional AF 5W30.
oil is very dark brown colour, looks bad to me.

Any ideas, recomendtion ,maybe engeine flush or something??
thanks

Dark oil is good thing as it means it is holding all the impurities from the engine so they will be removed when drained. It's what it is designed to do

Do the basics first. You should check a few engine vital signs, like the colour of each of the spark plugs and the compression on each cylinder. If one of the cylinders deviates from the others, you might have a malfunctioning hydraulic valve tappet on that cylinder.

Thanks for answering, I changed oil to different brand and thicker viscosity. I started to use liqui moly molygen 5W40 with archoil 9100...

Engine works smooth and more quiet, oil after 4months is better colour.it is bit dirty but not that bad.

I am thinking to change spark plugs. Is it easy to replace them for mechanic ? I mean will they release witout any problems ?

Yes very easy on this engine. Use genuine Honda plugs

Yep, Cox are a Honda main dealer. Be careful on eBay, plenty of fake plugs going about.

I would also check and reset your valve clearances on this engine.

Thanks, I'll use cox Honda for spark plugs . With valve adjustment I asked couple of. Mechanic around me and looks like they don't want to do it , one of them Said: we did it in past but there was a lot Of complains...
is there Specyfic sound of the engeine which indicate that valves need adjustment ?

Buy some basic tools, including a feeler gauge and watch some YouTube videos on Honda K series valve clearance adjustment. It’s not hard to do.

Wrt your first sentence, a 40 grade oil will be better than 30 at silencing a lot of troubles, it will also increase pressure through all parts of the engine once it gets to temperature, including the oil pump (and filter). You may consider changing the latter more often.

I used shell helix ultra professional AF 5W30 before, engeine was working really loud, I went deeper in to the oil Specification and shell viscosity at 40°C and 100°C was really low, compared to other 5W30 oil. I decided to change to molygen 5w40 and looks like it's a lot better...
I red some good opinions on forum about exol 5w30 C3 grade. I am thinking to try it next time, they also have 5w40 option which is more thicker. 20L can cost about £90 so can also change it more often if needed.
I have to choose one of them and try, not sure which one
