DPF & EGR Delete in Scotland?

Accord 2.2 IDTEC
I have a 2009 Accord 2.2 Idtec. I've had the car for 5 years and never had any DPF issues, but over the last year or so, it's happened twice. I have a mate with the equipment to do a forced regen, so it wasn't really a problem, but the last time, it must have caused a crack in the EGR pipe because now I am getting the smell of exhaust fumes in the cabin. I can't drive the car any distance, even with the windows wide open, as it's going for my throat. The car has only done 90K miles and I am hoping to keep it another 3 years at least. The issue is I no longer do many motorway miles so this is probably why the DPF has become a problem.

I figure I am probably best to just get the DPF gutted and the EGR blanked off then the car mapped. I am not really interested in more power or the performance of the car I just want it to become reliable again. I see there are a couple of places down in England to get this done but it's too far. I couldn't do the trip with the exhaust fumes in the cabin anyway.

Can anyone recommend somewhere in central Scotland that I could get this done?

Also what happens if you have a crash and your car is written off, wouldn't this invalidate your insurance?

Can’t help you in Scotland, but if you want a proper quality job then it’s worth making the trip down to Leeds. Drop me a line for further information.

It would be interesting if there was a claim that fumes from a standard, serviced vehicle were in part responsible for a crash.

I would mate, but it's too far with these exhaust fumes getting into the cabin. I can't even drive the car a few miles without feeling sick.

I was looking at EGR Pipe Replacement Kits, and apparently, there are two versions.

Mine is the early Accord version. Does anyone know the correct part number for this kit? Also is it the same EGR blanking plate part?

Dragon performance in Perth might be able to, there’s a place in Fife (not far from leslie, I’ll try find their name) that was gonna do it to my VRs before it got written off. Like pulling teeth trying to find places that do it in Scotland aye

I have found a place 10mins from my door that say they can do it. But they have not done one of these cars specifically before, they normally do VW's and BMW's etc.
Is there anything I should be aware of or tell them regarding the Accord 2.2 I-Dtec when it comes to DPF delete and remapping? I don't want to end up adding silly amounts of power that will kill the clutch or cause other issues. My main concern is making the car reliable and if i can get a little power boost then fair enough.

If they’ve not done one before, you’re asking for trouble. Drop me a PM.

I’m no expert on them unfortunately, although my 2.2 cdti (2006 accord) got it mapped at mac motorsport in Dundee, full custom map like, made 187 brake and 310 pound foot, and my clutch ended up slipping shortly after. Not sure about the newer ones but I know the same generation as mine have clutches that can’t take much more power/torque. Ended up putting in a cg motor sports clutch and my pal showed me my original clutch and it’s was perfect. Just couldn’t take the power
