Got a problem with a drive shaft.
Mate who owns a garage rang Honda for price etc. ..£595 plus the VAT......oh and none available until end of April !!! Unbelievable

So its looking like an aftermarket with a quote of £60 which is a massive drop in price and somewhat a tad worrying.

Can someone point me in the direction of where i can get a new replacement ?

Stuart - just search for breakers who are breaking IDTEC Accord's. most do mail order now, I'm sure you'll get lucky.

You could also try our affiliated dealer Holdcroft Honda in Stoke for a price and mention either myself or the forum. It won't be cheap but it might better than £595

Have Honda's a (known) problem with drive shafts? You would expect relatively new cars like an 8th not to require them? I am no auto specialist but I would hazard a guess that a drive shaft falls into the same boat as a transmission or such and should be warrantied for the life of the car? its not like something that should normally fail? Seems to be propping up all too frequently.
