Hi guys ,
I have problem with my 09 Honda Accord Tourer. In the last 2 weeks i have 3 times problem when engine just shuts down during normal driving , then i stop and turn off key and turn on again , it start normally and i can drive for another few days or more without problem.
Each time when engine shuts down , I think that battery light and oil light are the lights that stays on when i pull the car over to turn off and turn on so i can continue. I might be wrong as i was in panic and need to bring car to safe stop especially on motorway so will observe more if this happens again.
I bought recently car (in May 2016) and i didnt have any problem with it so far. The car has done DPF by previous owner (I think 2 years ago ) , he didnt have any problem with it.
I went to local garage on diagnostic , here are the codes given:
airbag codes scan results :
61-10 open in drivers seat belt buckle swtich
62-10 Open in the front passengers seat belt buckle switch
Antilock brakes code scan
26-1 lateral acceleration sensor failure
61-1 baterry voltage failure
Body electric Code scan
B2375 Rain sensing mailfunction
B1031 Ultrasonic Sensor Mailfunction
Mechanic in the local garage told me to call the honda dealer to ask them if they seen similar cases as he cannot really tell from the codes and symptoms what is the problem and he didnt want to start changing ignition parts .
I called Honda Ireland and he was asking if i press acceleration to heavy when i am driving . Well i said yes , then he told me that it is some metering valve , that it should be checked and possible replaced, If there are some metal chips then i have bigger problem.
He said i can do valve change in local mechanic so it didnt sound they want me in and overcharge.
I was googling metering valve and couldnt find anything about it so i dont understand on what exactly honda guy was thinking, maybe someone can help .
anyone else had the same issues ?
