Ep3 engine

Any one ever tried an ep3 engine in a 2ltr accord. Has k20 any wat much work involved

Not done it, but I've seen it done, the basics for the engine are the same (both K20s), but that's pretty much it, for the CTR everything else gets improved. I would imagine so do this you will need:

1. Gearbox (no point it putting it through an Accord's box)
2. ECU, wiring
3. Drive-shafts? (different suspension in EP3 to CM)
4. Ancillaries (alternator, a/c, etc)

Probably worthwhile looking at an Accord EuroR from Japan to see how they actually done it.

This has been done only a couple of weeks ago,there will be a build thread up soon.
As for wiring and ecu.you can use the accord wiring,ecu and i can reflash the accord ecu with ep3 map.

Yee haa the ep3 gearbox will not go in the accord as the mounts are not the same but the internals can be swapped over. K20a2 swap should be fairly straightforward, but there is also the option of just swapping heads and that way getting the "high cam" or "power" vtec.
