EX speaker question

Are the speakers in the doors on the EX full range or bass/mid? Just wondering if the front pair cross over to the tweeters in the dash too?

They are only mids

Dash us tweeters. All doors are mid range and the 6x9s on the shelf are bass unless you have a tourer in which case you have a boot mounted sub. The EX amp sends the correct signal to each speaker so fitting full range speakers in the shelf or doors will achieve nothing.

could you take the sub from the tourer and fit it in the 4 door?

I should think you could, but honestly, I think the sound system in the saloon is probably slightly better. I mean, you've got more going on on the back parcel shelf right? Two subs or something. We've just got s 6" sub mounted in the side panel of the boot. It's not as groovy as it sounds. I mean the system in the 7th gen exec is awesome, but I doubt the tourer's better than the saloon. Maybe equal to, but at a guess, I'd say probably slightly inferior as there's less going on in the back of the car.
