Exhaust Question

Good evening,

I had the Accord diesel MOT'd a few weeks ago. In the inspection bay, while standing under the car with the tester, he pointed out a bulge in the exhaust pipe under the car. It is about 2 feet long, under the middle of the car, but nowhere near as fat as a silencer box. He asked if it was a DPF. I was under the impression that no 7th generation Accords have these. Is this bulge anything special, or is it just the design of the exhaust pipe?

Incidentally I also had the headlamp washers fixed recently. The (plastic!) impeller of the pump had sheared off.

Doesnt say much about your mot tester.... was it nt the catalytic converter?

Probably the primary silencer. It really doesn't say much for your tester.

It says a lot for the tester.... Useless and clueless and dont ever take it there for any work!
