Hi guys just wondered what the options were for a performance system for the 2.4 type s.
Bit scared of the prices' of the Mugen and Greddy systems! Any recomendations or reviews would be good also have any of you had a custom system fitted, been quoted £420 by my local specialist, thats with only a 2" bore to the back boxes though :) 3" would be better :)

sadly pretty much every exhaust available for the cl9 is mega expensive, so im gonna go for a custom system sometime next year. :)

Have a look at Fahad's custom one on his thread, well worth the trip for the quality.

hi allan, yeah fahad got a custon duel setup on his by a company called zorstec, they done a really good job using mandrel bending technique and it was for a decent price too,im sure fahad will be arond any minute to confirm...lol..

p.s cj had one made by them too,and these guys would only use the best im sure...

How about aftermarket exhausts for the 2007 2.0 Petrol Type S would those be the same as for the 2.4.

Wheres the best place to purchase one.. ?

Can you get a sports CAT for these cars and is it worth buying one..?

Thanks.

If your referring to piping diameter then 3" is too big 2.25"-2.5" is optimum for a n/a engine, also ideally tapered down which is the key to keeping low down torque as well as gaining in the upper rpms.

I went to a place called MIJ performance in Birmingham sadly thats a little far for you lol.

Sports cats are a perfect compromise still passes emissions, engine is a tiny bit more responsive, during lift off throttle, you also get that popping sound a little and it absorbs the raspy sound that can be created from a decat. So win all round

This is a great seller, by the way , he can advise you in what to buy if you tell him what you're looking for (ask for Marcus - he has a modified Acura TSX , also)
