I think Im going to get a new pair of tyres for the rear of the car to help with road noise. I know the FK452 gets good feedback on here, but has anyone tried the ZE912? I can get a cheap pair, so im hoping they are good.....

Decent tyre for the price, handles well wet/dry and is reasonably quiet not sure theirs too much init between the two.

I think there's a fair bit of difference between them, the FK452 is definitely the superior tyre.

FK452 is more 'performance' orientated. its a softer compound and i found it a little noisey when the tread wore.

Ze912 are more 'all season' tyres.. they dont have the grip of the FK452, although there is not much in it. and they last longer. also less road noise.

Your probably right actually, FK the softer compound of the two? ZE doesn't handle too bad though, wondering how much better the FK must be, can't be huge and the ze912 is a good wet tyre too.

Thanks for the replies, looks like the ZE is worth a punt then since Im not too interested in the performance

Now I have decide whether to replace the 2 Champiro tyres on the rear or the good year efficent grip / budget tyre combo on the front

How about these. These are an excellent tyre.

quiet and great performance.

I found champiro a well dodgy tyre, what was I thinking when I stuck them on the back of a rear wheel drive

i have both tyres. and as a everyday tyre i prefer the ZE912, more comfortable, more quiet. and better in the wet. unless u pushing the car hard you wont need FK 452.
