Firmware ECU upgrade on pre-facelift ?

Hey,

any idea, can the ECU be reflashed with newer firmware version? Mine is working strange, on most Car diagnostic tools, I cannot connect to the car via normal Honda protocol. Only crappy OBD2 protocol, where you can see nothing! May be this is because of some ECU error or so?

I'm going to do some diagnostic with authorized dealer and see what they will say, but I wanted to have some info before that, so they will not cheat me

I would need to check the software revision, it might be the tool you're using not supporting the right protocol. The Honda protocol on your system might be trying to establish a connection to a petrol ecu. They use different protocols to the Bosch system fitted to the ictdi
