Guys, I'm thinking of getting a tow bar fitting on my car. I've been reading some posts and it seems like I'll have to get the bumper cut out to get this fitted, is that right? If at all possible, I would like to avoid doing that. I've got 2.2 GT/Sports model.
What tow bar would you suggest? My requirements are pretty simple. Mainly it'll be used to fit the cycle carrier (would buy one once I've got tow bar fitted) and occasionally taking tow trolley to dump yard.
Would I be able to fit this myself? I'm guessing getting the electrics right would be the real pain?

Hi buddy,

I have a tourer and went for the Witter detachable with a flanged tow bar....does require a small cut to the bumper but not visible and you can detach it when not in use which I prefer tbh. The flanged tow bar is great as you can fit a bumper protector which would not normally be an option plus it gives greater flexibility re the cycle carrier.

In have combined this with the Witter 4 bike carrier:

This is a great unit but be careful of ramps on the Tourer it can ground!

I had this fitted by my mechanic.....

Best wishes
