hi guys,
Guess this is a better section than newbie for my problem....
Just got my car serviced at Benfield last week. Had to leave the car with them for a 4 days then picked it back up last saturday. While on my way back home (5 miles) and on monday after I drove around 15 miles the car started playing up a bit... From second gear onwards and after every gear change, for 10 seconds the car just didnt have enough power and just went at the speed I was going even though I had the foot down at times (engine was not revving at all but just wasn't enough power, but intermittent cutoff either). After 10 seconds it will pick up speed and respond to acceleration as normal. I don't think this happened when shifting at high speeds from 4th to 5th i.e. 40-50mph above... but it did at slower speeds upshifting and downshifting.
Today I drove the car for 80 miles (75 motorway) and no issues what so ever. Benfield had told me the clutch was slipping, today got it checked with a honda specialist and he says clutch is not slipping and he said while he was driving he couldnt fault the car.
Wondering what could it be now... please shed some light... It was serviced last week for 88K miles and the fuel filter was drained... it was replaced at the 75k miles service. Oh and I am 90% certain that element light didnt come on when this happened each time.
