For those who have replaced condenser and dryer

I have ordered a new condenser, the part number on mine is different to the one on the Lings site but they confirmed it's the same - 80110-SED-942. The number on my condenser is - A0110-SED-0030. Apparently Honda like changing parts numbers to confuse people!

There are 2 condensers available for this car, the other one has the dryer included but mine doesn't. The dryer part number is - 80351-SED-003 and it's over £100 from Honda.

I have been looking for ages but can't find a pattern one, some suppliers have said it's a main dealer part only, some have said they can get them in from abroad at a cost of £35. The thing is I don't want to do that and find it doesn't fit.

So has anyone here who has the same condenser replaced their dryer using a pattern part? I don't want to reuse the old one if I can help it but I'm not paying dealer prices for one.
 
I got one for the wife's FRV which has the K20 so I can't see why you can't get one. I found loads of places when I was looking, only cost about £30 too

Just google it, I think mine came from a radiator specialist in the north east
 
Unfortunately it's not as easy as that, the one on ebay is for the other type of condenser. I already ordered one when I bought the condenser and they refunded me cos it's not the right one.

The ebay one is for Honda part number 80351-SDA-A01, if you use the Delphi parts checker. I emailed Adrad who you linked to in your guide and they said it's the wrong one for mine, I need the dryer for part number - 80351-SED-003.

Weird. Can you email the seller of this condenser and ask if he has a different fitment?
 
I've tried a few places now and they all say the same thing, either it's a dealer only part or they can import one, no supplier in the UK has the one I need. I'm wary about buying an import in case it doesn't fit. Why the hell did Honda have to make 2 different condensers for the same car!! :blink:
 
Is it because yours is an auto perhaps? I honestly wasn't even aware of this issue
 
I have no idea but when I opened the box there was a drier already bolted to it!! :lol: The company I bought it from said it doesn't come with one but it got sent directly from their supplier so maybe they decided to fit them.

Got it regassed today and it does seem to work after it didn't initially, I need to replace a relay.
