front brakes on 2.4 petrol and 2.2 diesel

I've just been looking on Lings, and it looks like the discs, pads, and caliper are same part number for 2.4 petrol and 2.2 diesel, also the bearing and hub.
(7th gen pre-facelift, not checked facelift)

I ***ume this is correct, anyone able to confirm if this it true or not ??

I do know that on some models the discs at the front are 280mm and some are 300mm!

so I ***ume that all bits are the same in 2.2 and 2.4

Well i have a 2.0l and mine are 300mm! But mine is a euro r cl7 if that's the reason?

^ out of interest Hamid, go to Lings and enter your reg (or VIN if that doesn't work) and see what part numbers you get in the front brakes view.
these are the Lings part numbers (pfk versions) for the diesel

I get the same part numbers for the 2.4 petrol, though the parts are itemised in a different order.
If I convert the Lings PFK numbers to Honda numbers, parts still correspond

Brian the 2.4 petrol and diesel are the same for the front brakes.The 2.0L petrol has the smaller disks but can be upgraded to the 300mm ones.

Just to add, the facelift 2.0l type s also has 300mm discs

Don't know about part numbers but all 7th gen front discs are 300mm (except 2.0 litre models that ran 15" alloys from the factory).

Nothing to get confused about man, there's only one set of pads listed for the 7th gen, only difference is the disc size and that depends on which model it is.

If you say you have a 7th gen facelift type s, then you have 300mm discs

I've never noticed a 7th gen with 15" wheels, are they quite rare? Do most 2.0 models have 16" wheels?

The base model 2.0l when first launched had 15" steel wheels and 15" alloys on higher spec'd cars
