front bumper lip

Can anybody tell me if the front bumper lip from a type s will fit on a diesel bumper?
I think i read on here a few weeks back that the front bumpers weren't interchangeable so it's put some doubt in my mind.

I think you've already discovered but just to answer the question (***uming we are talking about the pre facelift car here) then the diesel bumper will take the A spec front lip, but NOT the Type S lip.

The petrol will take both the A spec and Type S lip.

Yeah, I was on about the pre-facelift. I've started looking into fibreglass ones. Are the rears the same on the pre-facelift petrol as the diesels?

Nope the rear bumper is also different on pre and post facelift
