Alright Guys,

Indulge me while I ponder some things. Does anyone know the size of the bushes in this picture? Mainly 8, 9 and 10.

I'm curious about replacing front suspension bushes with polybushes, but I can't find CL9 polybush kits, so need to find out sizes of each bush individually  .

Thanks in advance.

You are better off buying a whole arm, it probs be cheaper!

New rubber bushes will be better that polys, polys are HARD, second only to rose joints! Make the car feel like leaf spring suspension.

Are they that bad? I was under the impression they stiffened the car up some and improved handling?

No, you right they do, but i personally see them all the time, at work and what not, bone shaker, you defo need dampers to work with them though. They can "bind" too, get twisted up, restricting joint movement.

New bushes generally though is great handling mod/upgrade/maintenance. If you are going ahead with them, i advise dampers at the same time ;)

Hmm, maybe I'll just replace them with stock Honda bushes in time. Can't really afford to replace my dampers too.

Honda or MOOG for normal bushes.

Ill be buying right and left front top wishbones for mine very soon, comes with the bushes and ball joints already. made buy MOOG off ebay, nice and simple, and good quality crucially.

A whole arm from Honda is horrendously expensive. I'd only go for the bushes, even if they're not cheap. I done the "front lower control arm compliance bush" (there's a mouthful) and it actually needs to be flexible. I don't think a poly would suit at all.

Steve, I've the old one's here for number 8 and I can measure if you're still interested.

Thank you Jason, but don't worry mate. I think I'm sold on keeping it stock Honda parts for now ;) .

 It's true, I've become a bit obsessed with bush(es) of late.

But joking aside, I did my front and back ARB bushes, my compliance bushes and my rear drop links, but I still get the odd knock and rattle. I put some of down to the exhaust and/or heat shield, but reckon things ain't great in that area. The car's almost 10 years old and living by the sea the air is naturally salty. Also, I'm not averse to "enthusiastic" driving sometimes (especially since I've had the car lowered  ). So I know the bushes won't be at their best and wouldn't mind getting some fresh rubber in there to help restore some of the original niceness.

 that never even crossed my mind

some truly unforgettable Bush

Hi guys,

I ve just got home from a blast round France, holland and belgium on cobbled roads with a seriously creaky front suspension. Can be heard from inside the car!!!

When I push down on the front wing it creaks, any ideas what this could be? Could it be those filthy bushes? Got a puncture too! I love motoring :)

Front anti-roll bar droplinks - the quickly run out of grease and creak like crazy...
