Fuel filter 2.2 i ctdi 05

I've dipped into the site as a guest over last few years. I've actually owned the vehicle 8 years now. Usual problems, but main bugbears are vsa and engine management light restricting engine revs.
Second problem had several manifestations and reading through relevant threads, my mechanic is going down the root of start with the fuel filter.
I'm going with the advice for the OEM Bosch or Denso.
My questions...
1. Does anyone know which one I need......engine number N22A12103238
2. Can I acquire one from elsewhere, other than a main dealer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pre facelift like yours is a Bosch unit, I can’t remember the part number but as long as it’s a Bosch metal canister unit you should be ok.
