Last 3~4 months been getting slight smell in cabin through vent took to my mechanic today hes told me he can smell it coming from back of manifold i told him this was changed by our affiliated dealer HH in January so told me best to get in touch with them as will still be under warranty .
Phoned HH they told me to bring up to them but wont be manifold as never had 1 issue with the new manifolds, its a 2half hr drive for me to get to Stoke so if not manifold were else could the fumes be coming from

Possibly a leaking injector mate. If I remember rightly, you had your timing chain done recently? if so, then your injectors would have been removed and if the crush washers haven't sealed correctly then you could have blowby.

remove the top cover and see if you can see any black sooty deposits near any of the injectors.

Spot on mate no1 injector like you described and worse can feel the fumes coming through the injector and its caked in soot

Glad you found the problem at last. I'm guessing/hoping that if it's blowing, then you should get the injector out without too much of a fight?

So if the injectors were taken out or renewed with your new timing chain this should be covered under warranty. When was the chain changed? was it under a year ago.

As Brett said.. but fight the dealer hard even if it is over a year old as they removed the injector and have not re seated it correctly causing this to happen... its not something that happens over night either.
If you need more help and advice, drop me a pm as I fought my dealer over 2 leaking injectors well past their year warranty date!.. and won

HH changed timing chain in Feb this yr

LOL I am right from time to time... I would take it up with HH, but truthfully this really isn't their fault, it's just one of these things with these cars. You could probably have a go at resealing it yourself, I've done quite a few injector recalibrations for members who have replaced injectors themselves..

well had injector removed Tuesday and new seal fitted £3.40 from Honda Local indie fitted at a cost of £36 no blowing now and i can smell my air freshener again happy days

Good result Dave glad its sorted mate.
