gear oil

Hi all
iv drained my manual trans fluid only aprox one litre inside? no leaks. im sure there should be a lot more. honda dealer said 2,5litres facelift model deisel.

Yep it takes 2.2 litres but can take up to 2.5 litres safely. 1 litre means either you have a leak or you haven't taken it all out properly. Are you sure you are draining it from the drain bolt? it's located at the front as if you are looking at the box face on from the front of the car, and is on the lower section of the bell housing.

It will be a hex bolt ..

yes draines it from correct location
i wreckin previous owner had shaft out before and lost some oil and never filled

i just hope box isnt damaged from so little oil..

You'd probably know if it was damaged, as it'd be making unpleasant noises / jumping out of gear / difficult to get into gear.
