Grey/white fumes comming from exhaust when starting cold engine after night.

Hi guys

I recently saw that my accord 2.2 i-ctdi 2004,107000milage is giving strange grey fumes when starting cold engine ,usually it is happening in the morning.when engine is hot I can see it. Obd2 didn't find a faults.I. can't see any changes when i drive the car. 5 months ago I cleaned manifold, egr, and replaced solenoid frequency valve.
I am preparing to fix suspension and replace a new tyres and I don't want to waste my money if after that something bigger will show up because of that fumes.
Pcan any one give me advice what to do please.

Unburnt fuel. Could be leaking injectors.. Hard to say like this but if it's clearing up straight away and no running problems I wouldn't worry too much

Can you smell any fumes in the cabin? Has your manifold been replaced?
 
The fumes comming out just for 1 sec and stops,I haven't replaced manufold. I can't smell anything in the cabin but sometimes when I go out from the car and waiting to cool down turbo,engine stiil RUn I can smell strange odour( I dont know if I used right word) can't describe it.
Is there anything I can chacke my self?

I get a similar type of fumes when on cold start for a second. Its a diesel so a little smoke expected. I don't burn any oil or fluids and car pulls like a train so I don't worry too much. Incidentally mines on the same Miledge :D
 
:), thanks. I though something wrong starts happening, I didn't see this fumes before.
I will try to keep my eyes on it.just one more question.I am using shell helix ultra 5w40, is it good choice?

Oil is a massive debate on this site and a simple search will show that 0w30 is the chosen and preferred oil grade with oil change intervals of 8k ish on average. We have found members who have used this grade are less likely to suffer from the dreaded timing chain issue
 
Thank you. I did right choice then:). Will keep eyes on that fumes. Do you think Its worth to go to aso and check it? They told me last time they can do the check for £70 ( I am not sure what's included in that price).
 
No 5w40 is not the right choice mate and is thicker than 5w30

Change to 0w30 at the next service

I know I started different topic but got one more question.
I have to change tyres, I though to buy Goodyear 4vector all season.
Is it better to buy summer tyres or all season for UK weather?

did he say Summer and UK lol

Personal choice really, I normally get an all round kind of tyre but I always fall short when it snows but then again try not to bring the accord out

Where do you live? Unless you live up a hill where it snows a lot, summer tyres will be fine for all year round. I used to live in the lake district and managed fine without all seasons or winter tyres - I should add a caveat and say it helps a lot if you buy decent quality tyres.


Edited to add - 'Summer' tyres are what you will generally find for sale pretty much everywhere all year round. All seasons tyres aren't too common in comparison. A confusing naming convention which caused me to scratch my head at first...
