Hi all.

My hazard light switch a.) does not light up when I turn my lights on like all the other switches & b.) doesn't flash when the hazards are actually on.

Is this right?

While I'm on the subject, the steering wheel buttons also do not get illuminated when the lights are on...is that normal?

Thx.

***uming we're talking about the 7th gen Accord, the hazard switch should light up but only 2005 onwards cars had illuminated steering buttons

My hazard switch has never lit up.
...I didn't care until I just found out it was meant to. Dammit!!
not on your car mate, only face lift models have illuminated hazard light switch yours is 2005 so is pre facelift

Nope wrong, all the 7th gens have illuminated hazard light switches - trust me on this ;) Only the steering wheel controls became illuminated after 2005.

Pull out the hazard switch and you'll see it takes a tiny bulb, you can buy them from Maplins.

Mines a pre facelift exec 05 plate and the steering wheel buttons do illuminate.
However my hazard switch does not. Will look into that. Then again my vsa light does not either so need to replace the bulb on that too.

Correct! They have to.......it's the law!!!! :)

Thanks for all your replies people!

So to be clear, my hazard light switch should illuminate like all the other switches when the headlights are turned on. Should the switch also flash red when the hazards are on?

Apologies for flogging a dead horse!

So I've got the hazard switch to illuminate now. Should it also flash red when the hazards are on? Mine doesn't. There's space for two bulbs in the switch one of switch was red when I took it out...this makes me think it should flash red. However I've replaced the bulb but to no aval. Just wanted to check whether it should actually flash or not. If so, looks like a new switch is required.
