When my girlfriend is in the car she nearly always turns on the heated seat on the passenger side and forgets to turn it off. The next mornings when I drive to work I realise that the heated seat had been on for the last hour of the drive with nobody in the seat, thus being wasted.

Is the seat actually being heated if nobody is sitting in it?

Also, just a design point, the switches should be like the back window button that turns off when the car is switched off.

There is a thermostat in there (on the lower setting at least); but no there is no pressure sensor.

Agree that they should be on some sort of timed relay or something, but I suppose there is only so much engineering worth doing on theses things.

iir the themostat is on the high setting?
Plus its handy to switch them on when the cars warming up and your not init.

Well in that case you should just have to start the car and switch it on at that stage.

Sorry, read it wrong. Ya, you are right. It is handy that they do heat up in the cold mornings without you having to be in them! :)

Get a new girlfriend
