Hi guys,
Your collective wisdom please. When i bought the tourer about three months ago i had new discs and pads all round, plus a new calliper for the rear as it was seized. New brakes installed and whilst they are pretty underwhelming they do work reasonably for normal driving.
If i brake progressively from under about 100kph the brakes are fine. Much above this and i get a pronounced judder from the brake pedal. It feels rather like warped discs, though i would expect this to manifest itself at all speeds if they were indeed warped?
I have managed to cook the brakes a number of times when pressing on in some of the mountain passes around here. By that i don't mean pedal to the floor and no brakes, just a fair bit of brake fade + smoke from the fronts.
Warped or something else?
