IDTEC AUTO FUEL FILTER HOUSING

Hi, I have a 2011 accord auto idtec, I'm just wondering if the fuel filter housing for the manual and auto are the same, took car in for service, couldn't change the filter as it was too tight...

Nope.. different locations and therefore housings. Auto is located underneath the car near the fuel tank at the rear. Manual is in the engine bay against the near side bulkhead.

On the Auto it’s best to remove the complete housing and fit it in a vice to be able to safely remove the filter container cap.

Try it myself on manual car, filter cap too tight, ordered cheap tool from ebay and broke the cap. Still didn't managed to change the filter

You need the correct tool for this job, genuine one from Honda is available it’s not mega money.
