Hi (newbie here),

I have a Honda Accord I-CDTI (54 plate) with 180,000 miles on the clock (full service history and well looked after).
I have a problem with the Intake Air Tempreture (IAT) Sensor according to the diagnostic man (code P0113 - intake air temperature (IAT) sensor 1 circuit high voltage).
The problem presents itelf by the car loosing power, the engine management light comes on and then enters limp mode.

A couple of friends have suggested that IAT Sensor may be part of the MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor and I shoudld get that replaced. Someone else suggested
that it may be the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor ?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks

ps. the diagnostic man also said that there was another error code - P164A Engine Control Module (ECM) Internal Circuit Malfunction - he didnt think this was relaetd to the above problem and it might have been on the system for some time.

ECM error is normally down to a weak or disconnected battery, and nothing to worry about.

On the diesel, the IAT is part of the MAF normally so yes get that changed. At 180k miles, it's had a good life anyway. It's also worth cleaning the MAP sensor out with some electrical cleaner.

Thanks F6HAD - much appreciated. I have ordered a used MAF sensor (for £35) so will see how that goes when I get it fitted on Monday..

Great - keep us posted.
