Is my engine an H23?

Not sure what my engine is called? The car is a 5 door type v 2.3 vtec but cant find any info on it on wikipedia etc at it says non vtec, unless someone added a sticker to mine lol!!!

pretty sure it's an F23

Yep it's an F23, dot think all variatuions came with VTEC, check what your engine code is on the VIN in the engine bay.

Wrong. DOHC D-series were non-VTEC.

There were DOHC non-VTEC F22B's all through the 90's and into the early noughties...

No, the D16 DOHC was in production during the 90's actually, finally ending production in 1994. Very sought after engine as it's rare, but very strong so great for turbocharging.
