Not used them myself but I'll share a story of my own from this week.. after my car hit some debris on the motorway, I needed a new engine undertray. So I got a very reasonable price of £108 from Holdcroft. I thought I'll just also check with the breakers yards as it's only an undertray afterall.
Called the local mob at M and M Salvage in Halifax who claim to be Honda specialists... Yes mate we've got one, hundred quid!!
I said, hang on are we talking about the same part? Yes mate, the complete undertray it's quite big. I said yes it might be big, but its only £108 at the main dealer!!
OK.. £75 then.
I said No Thanks, don't waste my time or your own.
Rang a couple more breakers locally, most didn't have it as they tend to break. One had it, quoted £40 quid.. rang the next one, quoted £25 quid. Went down to pick it up, the part is virtually brand new off a 2007 car... he said just give me £20
So the moral of the story... all breakers are crooks :lol:
Just become a bigger crook then they are.
