Hi,
I have a 2009 8th Gen Accord that's run perfectly for 2 years. About a year back the DPF light came on, got a Honda regeneration that worked for a week then issue came back. I had the DPF removed and all worked fine for 6 months.
Got an EGR valve engine light (can't remember the code) but had it cleaned and no issues since.
Last week the car turned off on the motorway and has done it a number times since, OBDII alarm is P0087 - Fuel Line Pressure Too Low.
Symptoms:
Car drives fine 99% of the time
Accelerates quickly/normally to 4k rpm and is happy when I speed around testing it!
With cruise control or holding accelerator steady there's a slight difference in the speed and I notice it isn't a steady pace around 1500-2500 RPM, like small stutters
Will get a couple of bigger stutters, engine light comes on and engineer completely turns off (no limp home mode)
Car restarts every time perfectly
After the work below I took it for a 15 mile trip and no issues but the problem returned this morning on the motorway and it died twice
Work To Date:
Dropped to random garage for oil and oil filter(Genuine) change
Fuel filter changed with Genuine part to try to fix the P0087 fault
Fuel line blown back towards tank in case any blockage
Will be dropping to garage tomorrow but sounds like his next step is a €1k fuel pump, anyone had this and know what could be the cause?
Thanks in advance.
