Could anyone help me with posting some pics of your lowered accords on springs and please mention how much it's lowered by.....?

I have a 2006 accord type s saloon with standard 17" wheels on 225/45/17 tyres, I want to keep the standard wheels and just lower the car for better handling. I was think of lowering it about 30 or 40 mm ? Please also advise of brands and prices if anyone has done this recently.

Will the car scrape over bumps, as there are a few around where I live. I want something which won't scrape.

Cheers

I have a 2007 Tourer, I have recently lowered mine on KW coilovers, I couldnt tell you how much lower it is, however it is sitting at wheel level on the front and rear, i get a small amount of scraping on the front bumper but so far it hasnt been severe, i have 215/45/17 wheels,

FIWIW - I used H&R springs with Bilstein shocks. I've the OEM 17" Pentas and I get about 35mm lower - that seems just about right.

Prices were €300 for the springs and €640 for the dampers - shocking upgrade to handling! :)

Thanks guys, bit I'm on a budget, so will only be upgrading the springs. Do you think 40mm will scrape on 17" wheels with passengers in car?

The wheel size is irrelevant as the larger your rims go, the lower your tyre profile has to be. It's 45mm on 17" 40mm on 18" and so on. So the outside radius is always the same. Otherwise, if you changed your wheel size the speedo would need recalibrating.

I have a 40mm drop and 17" rims. The only scraping I have is my mud guards on some speed bumps. But it's no problem. The mud guards are a bit flexible so just bend, make a scraping noise and pop back into place. There's no issue with wheel clearance in the arches.
