Honda Accord CU3
So I recently spoke to a Honda Specialist near me and he told me that MAHLE actually make the Honda fuel filters for the 2.2 Accord CU3's and also the diesel 1.6's. So my question is should i just be buying MAHLE filters and not spending almost double for "Genuine" honda filters? I have read many posts on here saying only buy genuine especially when it comes to fuel filters but if MAHLE makes the honda ones how different can they be if at all? Would love some advice, thanks!

They’re actually Bosch but Mahle will also be fine.

Okay good to know, So are they the very same as the genuine ones? I've always used genuine but should i be ok to use Bosch? And just to confirm both oil and fuel filter are made by Bosch? What about the air filter/cabin filter, do you know who makes them or what brand to go for? I've always used Japan Parts as advised by Honda Specialist but again i've read a lot saying Honda spend a lot of time developing quite good air filters, so should i stick to them? Thanks for the help!

Bosch made the 7th Gen ICTDI fuel filters, the IDTEC version is made by Mahle/Knecht.
The part number on the filter itself from the Honda packaging is the same as the Mahle/Knecht filter.
That said I haven't found a huge difference in pricing between online and Honda dealers for those parts.
The OEM air filter is a Tokyo Roki part and I am sure its specific to Honda as Tokyo Roki aren't imported as standalone parts in any quantity. The Stock filters are also oiled and seem to catch dust very well.
I bought a Mann Frecious filter last time for the cabin air filter and was very pleased with its performance, they have an antimicrobial finish as well as a Carbon filter.

My apologies I just realised this is in the 8th gen section and as already pointed out the IDTEC fuel filter are made by Mahle.

Thanks for responses so far, Do either of ye know who makes the oil filters?

I think they are Mahle as well.
