Hi, I'm new to the forum and hoping someone can help me please.
My 2006 2.2 Diesel Accord had the malfunction indicator come in August but felt fine to drive. The dealer said the diagnostics code related to the glow plugs and whilst only 2 appeared a potential problem I should get all 4 replaced. The malfunction indicator had gone off before the dealer checked the car . Seen as it appeared to be driving fine and had only done 45,000 miles, to me it seemed really low mileage to have the glow plugs replaced so, I guess stupidly, I left it and did nothing.
This evening, on a cold start, the malfunction indicator has come back on and this time there is a total lack of power at 2000 revs. Its due a service this month so I'm wondering whether anyone has had similar happen to them and whether having the fuel filter changed has resolved it. I'm just concerned that the code may show the problem to be the glow plugs when in fact its a fuel pump problem or the EGR valve and some guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks very much.
