Mounting a K&N Filter to the stock intake hose?

Popped out to drop the car at the garage to get its bushes done and would you believe I missed the postman :angry: !!! Postman nearly always comes near midday on my street. But today he called at 9.15 <_< . Guess the modification will have to wait until tomorrow. Bums :( .
 
How annoying, the postman just woke me up with a parcel, whats really bad in axminster is they leave them on the door step when you dont answer..............not great when it rains and its books from amazon :angry:
 
Talk about the postman leaving things without a note through the :angry:
I found this this morning :D will fit at the weekend.

And to top it all off. The garage just called. Their parts supplier sent them the wrong bushes and they can't get anymore before the end of the day. So I've got to go back tomorrow to get the car sorted. Bit gutted, I was hoping for a nice feeling front end with the fixed suspension and a nice feeling accelerator with the intake mod by the end of today. Still, good things come to those that wait. Guess I'll have to spend to the rest of the day watching TV and playing videogames. What a travesty :rolleyes: .

That's always the way Steve but as you said a couple of days wont hurt :)
 
what games you playing today? i might get some xbox in as I cant sleep now. Thank goodness I am not working tonight, Might even start on the beers at lunch. If you got xbox or playstation add me, thebutcher2008,
 
I'm on PSN as Stevearcade. Not sure yet, just got back from the Garage, gotta get some lunch down me first. But it will most likely be Street Fighter X Tekken ;) .
 
Well, as I live 5 minutes walk away from the post office collection depot I thought I'd try my luck and what a result. The package was there and ready for collection.

BUT!!! There's an important moral to this story. Always measure twice!!! The existing inlet pipe is 80mm not 70mm. So nothing fits. I'm kinda laughing about it, otherwise I'll only get annoyed, but I've only myself to blame so hey ho :rolleyes: :( .

:( O man that sucks will they replace for the larger size ok.
 
Well, when there's a will, there's a way and in the words of the mighty Hannibal Smith "I love it when a plan comes together" ;) .

Watch this space guys, there will be some photos and things soon ;) . But I do have to go out shortly, so it might not be until later tonight. Sorry.
 
got any pics of this filter fitted? im interested to see it, i want to do the same to my cl9 ive got a typhoon kit which i had on my yaris t sport, so i think im going to use the k&n filter and try get a reducer from origional air intake pipe to my filter, any help for this part would be great, as the origional air intake pipe is like 90mm internal? cheers
