New brake pedal switch

If your bearings are shot, test them by jacking the car up and spinning the wheel by hand - as the wheel spins, place your hand on the wing above it and feel for any vibration.

Tried it today and couldn`t feel anything

Still getting this rumbling/throbbing/grinding noise. Does anybody know for definite whether driving with brakes fully applied for about half a mile will damage drive shafts, bearings, clutch, gearbox or any other moving part

Thanks for the guide, used it this morning to adjust the switch as it kept setting of the VSA light each time I touched the brakes, and I had no brake lights! - Lights are working and no more VSA light, but I've broken the cruise control! (New switch is on the way!)

As for your new rumble, there's a chance driving with the brakes fully on could damage the gearbox/clutch/drive shafts and possibly fly wheel as they are working a lot harder than designed, but I guess it depends on how long they were being pushed that hard.
