Hey all, im getting an exhaust system fitted soon, I was keen on a full 2.5" system with a inter changeable decat and single exit with a jap style slash cut tip

The guy at the garage advised me that my mpg would drop? its already pretty bad atm
So i am now tempted into just buying a cat back system?

Any opinions and tips would be appreciated
Thanks

From what I understood, increasing flow by enlarging the pipes, removing the cat etc, you will make it easier for the engine to do its job by reducing back pressure. This allows the engine to work less hard to produce the same outcomes. Therefore less work = less fuel burned. I'm confused, but don't know enough about the topic to advise. Sorry dude.

I agree with Steve on this if the engine works less it will be more fuel efficient IMO

Your accelerator pedal becomes the loud pedal and you press it harder to make more noise, this is why mpg suffers.

Lol Shiny that's why my car has lost MPG then since I installed the typhoon kit
