No clutch resistance.

Hi Chaps

Posting this on behalf of my boss at work who has a 2.2 i-dtec, 2010, with approx 90k on the clock.

Problem when pushing the clutch in as there is no resistance and goes down and stays down, and cant put into gear.


feel abit bad for the guy, as I told him to get a honda lol.

Just happend today so hes not taken it to a garage yet, Could it be something else other than needing a new clutch.

Hi Karl,

My lads are doing a clutch on an IDtec in the workshop today. Fitting a Type S clutch to a normal Es gt. I'll provide pics later as its a topic often discussed but nobody has provided any confirmation that the clutches actually do fit.

Anyway I just asked my mechanic and he said sounds most likely that the master cylinder has failed.

Lets hope so as thats alot cheaper than a new clutch kit.
