Hi I have just put everything back together after replacing timing chain. But the car won't start. Is there any special procedures needed to follow or should it just fire up.

Thanks

Daniel

Could be anything from incorrect timing alignment, leaking injector or air in the fuel lines..

Start with some diagnostics, check for errors then crank and check fuel is present at the rail with good pressure..

Take it from there

The car has gone for scrap. I got it started with that easy start spay. It's clear that the timing chain snapping has caused a lot more damage than suspected. I got bad compression on cylinders 1 and 4. It's not wot worth fixing that engine. I'm looking to buy a 2.4 type s.
Is there anything to look out for.
Thanks for the info.

It was a good car. Had it for the past 2 years. Bought it with 64k on clock. It died with 111k on it.

Ouch .chain snapping is VERY uncommon. I wonder if it ever ran dry or that is was the original chain that had not been updated to the newer version and that it had stretched to the point of fatigue
